Darcy Stamp Quartet: Upcoming Studio Recording at Studio D

It is with much excitement that the Darcy Stamp Quartet will be heading into the studio next month! The album will feature material inspired by the music of Dave Brubeck, with arrangements by Steven Feifke. Darcy is passionate about bringing new works to the jazz violin repertoire, and this will be a unique addition to the jazz violin repertoire we have today.

The band members of the Darcy Stamp Quartet include Darcy Stamp (Violin), Augustine Yates (Piano), Jim Johnston (Drums), and Rob Hutchinson (Bass). This recording will feature the best of each musician with their outstanding musicianship.

Steven Feifke is an internationally recognized composer, arranger, and orchestrator, Feifke is the recipient of the 2020 David Baker Prize from the Ravinia Festival, and has written for orchestras around the world, including Orchestra Senzapine in Florence, Italy, and the Vancover Symphony Orchestra.

The recording will be done at the sophisticated Studio D, Calgary. What we love about this place is that it is both a recording studio and a living space that is filled with amazing gear, and a great vibe!
